Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is an imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of the back of your eye.
As well as providing top quality retinal photographs, it also produces detailed 3-D images. These allow us to view the deeper layers of tissue below the surface of your retina. Using OCT we can now detect some of the earliest signs of eye conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and other eye conditions. And remember, the sooner an eye problem is diagnosed the earlier it can be treated and the better the outcome for you and your sight.
